Second Annual "Walk For The Animals" - April 18 Did you know our Four Seasons Beaumont has more than 1,000 pet owners? It's obvious that we are an animal-loving community! To celebrate the love so many of us share for our fur babies, Four Seasons Beaumont Tails & Trails is excited to support the second annual "Walk for the Animals." Last year's event was attended by nearly 150 pet lovers in our community — along with their dogs — and raised over $4,000 for our local animal shelter! This year, the walk will begin at 9 am on Saturday, April 18 outside The Lodge. At 8 am — prior to kicking off the Walk — there will be a pancake breakfast for attendees provided by our incredible Kopper Kettle Bistro (thank you to Stacy and the Bistro for this generous donation!). Walkers and their pets will stroll east, around Four Seasons Circle, and cut back up Green Creek to end back at The Lodge to enjoy music by DJ Tracy Crow, take a chance to win dozens of incredible raffle items, and collect a gift bag and custom designed "Walk for the Animals" t-shirt. Last year's raffle prizes included gift dinners to La Casita, Morton's The Steakhouse, Guy's Italian Restaurant, and dozens of baskets filled with prizes, to name just a few. This year's raffle prizes promise to be even better. The "Walk for the Animals" benefits the homeless animals at Ramona Humane Society (RHS). Since Ramona Humane Society is the animal shelter for the City of Beaumont, and since we are such an animal- friendly community, we know you'll agree there is no better recipient for our support than our local shelter. If you are interested in joining us this year, the registration fee is only $20, which includes the pancake breakfast, custom t-shirt, a raffle entry ticket, a gift bag, and a whole lot of fun! You can register at the event or save time by registering online at www.ramonahumanesociety.wufoo.com/forms/walk-for-the- animals-four-seasons-beaumont/ So bring your friendly dog (on a leash please) and join us for a fun "Walk for the Animals!" ~ Jeff Sheppard 38 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2020 Tails & Trails - All Pets It has been reported that there have been a number of sightings of dog owners allowing their dogs to run free in their front yards or at the numerous mini-parks in our community. It is time to revisit the HOA Guidelines with regards to dogs being on leash: Animals belonging to residents, tenants or guests within the property must be either kept within an enclosure, an enclosed yard, or on a leash being held by an individual capable of controlling the animal. Residents who allow their dog to be off leash in their front yard or in their garage with the garage door open are in violation of the HOA Rules and Regulations because those areas are not an "enclosure" or "enclosed yard." Some residents allow their dogs to roam free in a mini-park with their leash on, but not holding the leash. Again this is a violation of the HOA Rules and Regulations because even though the dog has a leash on, it is not "being held by an individual capable of controlling the animal." Dog owners must be good neighbors within our community. That means complying with the rules and regulations. We ask that you cooperate because violation of these guidelines can result in injury to your dog, injury to other dogs and humans, and creation of ill-will toward all our canine residents. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Pack Walks - All dogs and non-dog owners are welcome and we practice techniques to calm barking dogs. Saturdays at 8 am we meet in front of The Lodge (walks last 30 to 45 minutes). Wednesdays at 4 pm we meet at The Summit parking lot (walks last 15 to 30 minutes). Please, no retractable leashes. ~ Patrick and his dog, Ricky Ricardo: dog_owners@yahoo.com Dog Owners Group
