FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2020 65 Fishing Club I lost a good fishing buddy who passed away in February of this year. Norm was a resident of Four Seasons and will be missed by a lot of people. He was a fishing friend, but more importantly he was a good man. Norm taught me how to catch fish and where to catch them. For that I will be forever thankful to that man. The Fishing Club has mostly been fishing for trout. The picture in this article shows four of our members with some trout that they caught at Yucapia Regional Park. We may not catch a whole bunch of fish, but we all have a great time. Trout season is almost over and now the lakes will start planting catfish. I am looking forward to catching some nice cats to cook on the barbie. The ocean fishing is starting to go full blast. I am going to try and do more ocean fishing with the club members. There is nothing like catching a big tuna and giving fish to all my friends. I was fishing at one of the local lakes and another fisherman started up a conversation with me. What he told me really struck home. He was an older man that had been retired for quite a while. He said that he tried to do all the fishing trips that were on his bucket list. The only problem was that he got old and sick and could not go on all the trips that he had planned. He advised me to go on as many fishing trips as I could while I was still young enough to enjoy them. Guess what? I am going to take his advice and go fishing as much as possible. Tight lines to all my fishing friends and remember, you are never to old to go out and have fun fishing. ~ Richard Carrasco, ricarrasco52@gmail.com TOPS Being away from TOPS for a month or two, or for a year or two really makes a difference in our eating habits. Once there is no accountability, except for looking in the mirror of course, our brains think it's all okay and what we eat doesn't count. We have been out of our house for almost two months, and have been able to attend TOPS only sporadically. We have been eating out almost every meal. What a difference this has made in our eating habits and in our weight. Whenever I see old members who were successful while attending TOPS, but for one reason or another dropped out, I often notice their weight gain, and I feel so sorry for them knowing that the answer for them is still waiting for them Tuesday mornings at 8 am weigh-in. Not only is the accountability there for them, but also friends and comrades who are waiting to encourage them, and help them to live a healthier lifestyle. My husband and I are back on track again after a shocking weigh- in. We are working on our weight once more, exercising, and paying attention to what we eat because we know Tuesday morning is coming when we will weigh again. True, weigh-in is in private and no one really knows whether we have gained or lost, but we know, and our bodies know. This is not to be meant as a guilt trip for anyone, but just a gentle reminder, and an open invitation for anyone to join us and learn how to live a healthier lifestyle. Our meetings are Tuesday morning at 8 am weigh-in, with an inspirational meeting from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the Ballroom. Hope to see you there. ~ Andi Henderson 918-497-6491 Fishing for friendship
