| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2020 | 25 Healthy Living It's a fact: You have to burn more calories than you eat and drink to lose weight. For weight loss, it really matters that you cut back on the calories that you eat and drink. That matters most for taking the pounds off, according to the CDC. Exercise pays off in the long run by keeping those pounds off. Research shows that regular physical activity will increase your chances of maintaining weight loss. How much exercise should I do? Start with just a few minutes of exercise at a time. Any exercise is better than none, and that helps your body slowly get used to being active. Your goal is to work up to at least a half an hour most days of the week to get the full benefits from exercise. If it's more convenient, you can do short spurts — 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there. Each action by itself may not seem like much, but they add up. We encourage you to visit and check out our program. We think you will find this a good fit for you. We meet every Wednesday at 9 am in the Multipurpose Room. If you have any questions about our program, please call Dave & Karen Tuvim at (626) 710-7163. Happy Campers RV Club Eighteen rigs will getaway to Catalina Spa in Desert Hot Springs for four nights in March. Many activities are planned including dinner at El Matador Mexican Restaurant in Desert Hot Springs. We are all looking forward to some warm weather and good times with friends and neighbors. Julie Muldoon is the Wagonmaster for this trip. We are always considering other local trips for a quick getaway! Pala RV Park is in the works for a possible May trip and we'll be talking about a 2021 trip to Arizona - Benson, Lower Antelope, Grand Canyon. Also, our Happy Campers RV Club has planned another fun getaway to Pismo Beach in September. It's a great time of the year to visit the beaches and restaurants in town. "Jeepers" can also ride the dunes which makes for an interesting and fun day. So a reminder to those contemplating this trip to get in touch with Linda Wetter as soon as possible as she is organizing this trip and collecting the down payment. Four Seasons Happy Campers RV Club meets the first Saturday of the month in the Multipurpose Room at 10 am. We encourage donations of canned food: beans, soups or fruit, cereal and pasta (no expired dates please) for the Hemet Food Pantry. Contact Co-Chairs for the Happy Campers: Cynthia Ellingworth, cynthia0430@verizon.net and/or Julie Muldoon, muldoon_julie@hotmail. com.
