| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2020 | 27 From the President, Gary Sopata: ALL ABOARD! The Hemet Four Seasons Golf Club is requesting all members board the train! We are experiencing a resurgence in weekly attendance and want to expand it even further. Our new program of weekly incentive games --Get it in the Circle, Net Eagle, and our Monthly Masters tournament has been well received by our members. Thank you to my fellow Board Members for supporting the program and to the Hemet Golf Club for their continued support of breakfast snacks and reduced cost of deli club sandwiches for our voucher program. I also want to thank our Social Chair Debbie James and her crew for an outstanding Club Banquet. And a special shout out to our Secretary Irene Becker for her dedication in getting things done! Remember…ask not what the Club can do for you, but what you can do for your Club! From the Secretary, Irene Becker: The Annual Banquet was held in Feb. 22 (photos at right). We had an Italian themed dinner with desserts provided by Social Chair, Debbie James and her team. Debbie and her team created a wonderful setting, provided a host of games and prizes. We had 80 participants who came to enjoy an evening of camaraderie and fun. From the Tournament Chair, Elliot Yaeger: You may sign up for golf at the golf course prior to Tuesday's golf event or send an email to hemet4sgc@gmail.com by Monday noon. At our March Bocce/Shuffleboard meeting, I reported new discs were ordered and have arrived for next season starting in September. There will be new disks for all courts. This is the first time ALL disks are being replaced. Maybe our game will improve. Even though league play is not going on now if you still would like to play remember there is a group that plays on Monday and Friday at 8:30 am. It doesn't matter if you are new to the game or a seasoned player. If you are new, they are willing to acquaint you with the way we play. There is no commitment play when you want. Any resident can check out equipment to practice. The Lodge attendant will take you to the courts and unlock the cabinet. You will receive the number of cues needed for the number of people playing. A set of yellow and black disks, one shaker of premixed beads to spread on the court and the broom to sweep the court before and after you play. Please do not walk on the diamond finished courts, t h e y can be slippery even before you spread the bead mixture. When you are finished playing leave the equipment in front of the cabinet and let the attendant know you are done playing. They will return the equipment to the cabinet and RE-LOCK the cabinet at their leisure. Call me, Toni Harris, at (951) 325-8357 or email at toniharris63@ verizon.net if you have any questions. HAPPY EASTER! Shuffleboard Have you ever wondered "What is Bocce Ball?" The Four Seasons Bocce ball club has started this season but you can still join a team or play as a substitute and learn a fun game. We are looking forward to seeing you and any friends that you bring along to join our fun. We play on Thursday mornings and the fee for the season is $??. This amount is used for activities like pot lucks, BBQs and the awards banquet. We plan a pot luck on the second week of play. Check out the flyer. Remember that any resident of Four Seasons may sign out the Bocce equipment and play at any time. The Lodge attendant will be happy to assist you. They will take you to the spa building where the older equipment is stored and give it to you for your use. You would then return the bag to the door of the storage room and let The Lodge attendant know that you are finished. They will put it back at their leisure.
