April is usually characterized as a time of growth and moving forward in new and positive ways. One of the flowers associated with April is the daisy which symbolizes purity, true love, and innocence. This is a great time to be outside and enjoy the beauty of our community. April is also when we hold our 2020 Annual Membership Meeting and elect our Board of Directors. The date for this is Wednesday, April 22. It is important that we all participate in this process to guarantee that we achieve a quorum of ballots. We need a ballot return of 50 percent + 1 to ensure that our election is completed. If we do not achieve this quorum, we must adjourn the meeting and start all over again, all at additional unnecessary cost to the Association. This year, there will be four Homeowner Directors to be elected to the seven-member Board. The Directors positions are each for a two-year term of office. We now know that there are six candidates for these positions. This means your vote is important and actually can determine the outcome. There will be a "Meet the Candidates" event that will be scheduled in The Lodge ballroom. Watch for more information on this event. This is a great opportunity to see, hear, and meet the members of our community who are willing to serve on the Board. We thank the volunteers that serve on our various committees and the Board of Directors. They are willing to give their time and energy to help make Four Seasons a better place to live for all of us. Let us also not forget our friends and neighbors who volunteer their help outside our community, participating in diverse activities such as: helping at polling places during elections, church functions, the Hemet Public Library, helping our veterans, working with the Hemet Police Department, The Salvation Army, Food Pantry, and the Hemet schools.
