Recently the Government and
local health agencies sent out
guidelines and mandates for dealing
with the coronavirus. Our office has
sent out information regarding how
it is affecting operations at The Lodge and also tips for prevention.
I'm sure most of you are closely following the news and government
guidelines.
As of March 12, the Board of Directors postponed all meetings and
gatherings in The Lodge up to March 31. As of this writing, we are
not sure of future meetings that are scheduled for the month of April,
most notably the Annual Membership meeting tentatively scheduled
for April 22. Whether or not to schedule the Meet the Candidates
Night is also under discussion. If these events are held, we will
notify the community through email and posting of the notice on the
community bulletin board.
When the annual meeting is held, there are six candidates vying for
four open director positions. They are Tony Criscenti, Jerry Hawkins,
Gene Hikel, Fred Kydd, Ken Pounders and Greg Rockvam.
We strongly encourage and appreciate everyone's participation
in voting for this important event to see who will represent the
association on the Board for the next two years. Whether you voted
or not, please take a moment to thank all of them for volunteering to
serve the community. It is a very big commitment of time and energy
and they deserve our gratitude for their willingness to volunteer!
