| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2020 | 7 As we progress in our spring cleaning mode I am delighted by the positive responses from many residents. Spring is a natural awakening. What could be more awakening than a fresh cleaned out garage or decluttered closet! I heard a little poem once about April showers and that they bring flowers in the following month. As we wait for those lovely flowers a rainy day would be a perfect time to enjoy a movie with neighbors in your Lodge Theater. I am charged with selecting 366 (leap year) movies this year for your viewing pleasure. We use a popular movie delivery system to provide the DVDs and Blu-ray disks that cover our licensing permissions. The movies are programmed as they are released by that company, this is why it may seem that older movies are running more often than new releases. Your movie requests are welcome, any suggestions on choosing the hundreds of titles needed each year are much appreciated. I will continue to explore other options in the meantime. The request forms are available right outside the theater doors. You may have a special interest like classic movies or horror films, you may consider creating a movie night club with a viewing and then discussion to follow. The good news is you don't have to wait for a rainy day to enjoy this beautiful amenity; movies are shown daily rain or shine! Spring is also the time for the annual club renewal form submissions. The deadline to submit is May 15. This year you will also add any set-up requests to the form so the staff can be better prepared for your arrival at your scheduled time. The forms are available from The Lodge attendant. I am continually impressed by the dedication and enthusiasm of the residents that put their time, skills, creativity and heart into planning amazing events for your pleasure. You may not know what you are doing for Fourth of July, Halloween or even New Year's Eve yet, but I guarantee the wheels are in motion! Easter is April 12 and the Bistro will have brunch available by reservation. The Board is offering a fun Egg-stravaganza from 2 to 4 pm for your cute little grand bunnies. Wristbands are $10 each for the egg hunt, petting zoo and VIP visit with the Easter Bunny. I would suggest you bring an empty Easter basket for egg hunting. I hope to see you at the kick-off event for Music on the Plaza Tues., April 14 to enjoy Bonita and the Blues Shacks!
