8 | OHCC LIVING | APRIL 2020 | With the recent developments regarding coronavirus (COVID-19), the Board of Directors recommends the following actions be taken in an effort to minimize risk to all members of the community. • The Board strongly recommends clubs or other groups organizing large gatherings consider rescheduling their events until further notice. Some projections are that COVID-19 is most likely to be widespread in the US by mid-to-late March and April. • If you have visited a country listed as "elevated high risk" on the CDC website (currently China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, and Japan), we strongly encourage you to see a medical provider upon your return to the U.S. to confirm you do not have the virus. It is recommended you self- quarantine at home for 14 days prior to visiting any public areas. Please be aware the list of high-risk countries may change from day to day, so check carefully if you plan to travel during this outbreak. • Practice frequent handwashing for at least 20 seconds. • Cover your mouth when coughing and sneezing with a tissue and immediately throw the tissue away; sneeze and cough into your elbow if necessary. • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. • Stay home if you're sick and avoid contact with people who are sick. • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, such as cell phones, and keys. • Avoid handshakes and hugging. The Board is implementing the following preventative measures: We have ramped up cleaning services with specialized sanitizing equipment and cleaning solutions which are being implemented in both the Clubhouse and the HOA Office. Still, all surfaces likely will harbor some germs, so avoid touching hard surfaces as much as possible, and keep your hands away from your face! Sanitizing wipes are available in each of the club rooms at the Clubhouse. Please note that you will be asked to leave the Clubhouse common areas and the HOA Office if you are exhibiting symptoms such as sneezing, fever, cough and shortness of breath. We do not have the means to take the temperatures of residents as they access common areas, so please be vigilant about your personal health and hygiene and stay away from others if you feel even slightly compromised. We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. We appreciate your cooperation and diligence. More info.: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019- nCoV/index.html Minimizing Risk of Coronavirus in OHCC
