| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2020 | 11 These are extraordinary times for the world and for our community. At the time of this writing, committee activities are on hold for now. Many of us are getting out and walking or biking around the community. On behalf of the Landscape Committee, we hope that you enjoy the common area pathways and streets as part of your plan in keeping healthy and active during this time. Be safe and be well. The Landscape Committee meets the first Wednesday of the month at 1 pm at The Lodge. We do plan to meet May 6, 2020 unless there are restrictions. Residents are welcome to attend. Landscape Committee POOF and social gatherings are the thing of the past, and now it's social distancing, not exactly the core mission of the Four Seasons Social Committee. So in order to promote the idea of social distancing, some of our neighbors have volunteered to share their activities (see photos on pages 6 and 7). Freddie Grimes almost finished his 500-piece puzzle — what's next Fred? 1,000? Sandy St. Johns has been busy creating beautiful and colorful gourds. Others like Irene Becker, have learned new tech skills. She is now a Zoom administrator. Jerry Hawkins is getting ready to finish building cabinets, very productive of him. These neighbors see home as a place to learn new skills, be creative, and be yourself. How about you? Saturday afternoon has become a "Social Distancing Happy Hour" setting chairs out on the driveway or sitting in golf carts with the recommended six feet of distance away from each other. Several groups gather to catch up and enjoy the afternoon. Or maybe you want to have some fun and dance, like this neighbor (pictured right) did on the corner of World Cup and Four Seasons, because she missed the Music on the Plaza. However you are connecting with each other during these troubled times know that we will get through this together. Distancing from our neighbors and staying sheltered at home has taken on a whole new reality, but home can be a place that is more than four walls: it is a place where we are protected and sheltered from the world; a place to weather a storm.
