Separate But Not Alone By the time this article is in front of you, we hope the coronavirus is just a bad memory. These days have been harsh on the "social aspect" of our community. We find at a time like this that there is so much we take for granted, only one of which is being able to embrace our neighbors and friends with a loving hug and "how are you doing?" If there is one thing that this has taught us, it's how grateful we should be for our doctors, healthcare folks, etc. They have been on the front lines as well as many other "first responder" folks. Please take every precaution to keep yourself and others safe – at this time and all times. Team Sunshine, along with our Activities Director, Tracie Rodgers, have been busy with several "get to know your neighbor" tasks. The daily 10 am Pledge of Allegiance, along with the singing of God Bless America, has brought our neighborhoods "out" to honor, not only our patriotism, but our connection to each other. At the time of this writing, we are getting prepared to launch "Curbside Conversation with Team Sunshine." We hope that this has proved to be beneficial to you. We are amazed and proud of the number of Bistro meals being delivered by Sunshiners and other members of this community. The safety of all is a major factor as we wait to hear better news on the suppression of this deadly virus. Celebrations/Memorials: We were sad to learn of the passing of Ruth Burdett, Richard Ochoa, Dave Dupree, Joseph Jeffrey, Cliff Brown, Renate Buxbaum, Jack Steiner and Marilyn Rhyne (former Co-Chair of Team Sunshine). Our condolences go out to these families and their loved ones. A celebration of life was held for Ruth Burdett (photo at right) on Sun., March 1 at 2 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. Family and friends gathered to celebrate the life of this treasured lady. Our condolences go out to Howard, his family and friends. We don't always know of all the passings in Four Seasons. The families who have lost loved ones do not always need our assistance. It is at this time when there is so much concern for individual health issues that we understand the blessings of connection within this community. Marietta Ruppaner conducts a prayer circle once a month to pray for our residents in need. Give Marietta a call (325-8348) and she'll give you details. Also, a prayer request box is located in the MPR.
