12 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2020 | Well, here we are saying goodbye to April and wondering what each new day in May has in store for us. While we are being tested and asked to abide by the rules I can say I'm proud of the majority of mankind for jumping into unknown territory and helping friends and neighbors with all kinds of needs. Four Seasons is a very giving community, a vital part to any friendly, caring population of neighbors. As of this writing, Francisco is keeping the Bistro doors open and his staff working by having pre-ordered and paid for "to go orders." The decision to include the tip was given much thought! It was done to give the food servers our "thank you" for just being there, taking orders, run the tab thought the credit card machine, prepare and package our chosen meals in boxes. For those few people who became distraught because of the tip addition on the tab, please reconsider by re-reading the BOLD PRINT words above. It's still the same stuff, if not more, things they have to do when you order in. The Sunshine Ladies have organized a wonderful group of volunteers who will deliver those meals to your doorstep with a cheery smile. This is one more showing of banding together for the good of so many. A deep and respectful thanks to you all for the giving of your time and for caring. The Bistro Committee had hoped we would know if the three applicants that offered to join our group had been approved at the March BOD meeting. As you know, all meetings have been canceled, so that approval as well as many others will need to be discussed at a later time. We thank you for your interest, please stay well and we will relay to you the Board's decision when we get it. There will be no drawings for "Bistro's Sunday Brunch for Two." The coupon you fill out to vie for the monthly drawing is discontinued and you can throw away those extra old blanks laying around; their time will have expired by the time the Bistro re-opens. From Patt Bistro Committee As this article is being written on April 6, Riverside County has declared that no gatherings, other than those within our own households, are permitted due to the Novel COVID-19 pandemic. Our Board has suspended all Architectural Review Committee (ARC) applications for now and the last Architectural Review Committee meeting was held on March 16, during which some members attended by conference phone. During this meeting, interviews were held with two very qualified homeowner applicants to fill a future committee vacancy. A decision on who to fill the pending vacancy was made by the ARC and forwarded for Board confirmation when the Board can take such action. The Committee has also taken action by email vote on certain time-sensitive actions that have occurred since our current suspension. Since the social distancing and other safety measures are in effect, no exterior modifications are anticipated for now. However, DO NOT DO WORK TO YOUR PROPERTY WITHOUT REQUIRED APPROVALS. Please be patient. The ARC will again meet to take actions on ARC applications when approved by the Board and when safe in this time of medical safety actions. If you have any questions regarding these matters, your Architectural Assistant, Maria Donti is available by phone (951) 325-8188) or email (maria.donti@fsresidential.com). She is not now available to speak with you on a walk-in basis. Thank you for helping us keep our Four Seasons community safe, healthy, and beautiful. Architectural Review Committee Facilities Committee In spite of the many burdens and restrictions imposed on us all as a consequence of the national health threat, many good things have been getting done at the Four Seasons. Among them, the swimming pool deck has been refinished with a cooler, nonslip surface that is just spectacular in appearance. The project, together with remodeling of the landscape, will make an area that the residents can take pride in and enjoy when it reopens. By the time you read this, the BBQ area walkways will have been cleaned and coated with a new stain resistant color coat. Also, a portion of the concrete front entry area of The Lodge will have been refinished. Inside The Lodge, the Art Room, Multipurpose Room and a men's restroom have been repainted. Painting projects are being scheduled for various outside areas as well. Best wished from all of us for a safe, healthy and prosperous month of May.
