Many changes have occurred in our lives and the world. We so wish our library doors were open for you to see the result of our extra shelves and how we filled them. I took a picture to show the end results of our hard work. We moved all of the non-fiction books down to the shelves under the paperbacks. With our easy pull out shelving you now have a whole new world of great writings within easy reach! We thank volunteer Scotty for the idea. There were other changes but we'll wait until we can visit in person. In other words my mind is too full of "being safe." Everything is based on how you perceive things. Before our Stay Home & Stay Safe life began I was inundated with books in my night stand. So many, including all books that our speakers have written, crowded my bedside. It felt heavy. I have a small picture showing how many books were crowded in the nightstand. It's common for everyone in our committee to be overrun with books. Just a few weeks later I know how lucky I am to have so many books to read AND by great authors. Tonight I get to start another book and this one is a "girlie book!" Can't wait. What do we do other than read? I love jigsaw puzzles. But — I want to keep the table clear so I bought a puzzle game from Bigfishgames.com. This one probably has a couple of hundred puzzles. And, I'm safe along with the table being clear. I am a complete animal person. This is the time of year the baby eagles are born. My favorite pair are in Deborah, Iowa. Sportsmansparadiseonline.com will take you to eagles, owls, and their babies and even storks in Germany. We are getting close to Puffin season and it will be hard to leave the computer. Try it; it's free. Stay safe Four Seasons friends. Hopefully if we do our part and stay home, wash hands and sanitize we can keep this at bay. Can't wait to see everyone and have a group hug! Until next month… Cookie From Blair (with the new hip); "Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world." ~ Voltaire | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2020 | 13 Library Committee
