22 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2020 | To all our Ladies Club members and the community, I hope you are safe and well. This is a time for us to support each other be respectful of our neighbors and SMILE. Stay positive and make the best of your time in doing some fun thoughtful things. We have all said at one time or another, "If I just had the time I would." What would that be, clean out your closets, clean out the garage or the boxes we stored away years ago and never went through? How about doing a puzzle? Remember when we used to write a letter to our family. This is a perfect time to write down a little about yourself and your family history to pass on to your grandchildren. Tell them something about yourself they didn't know. I hope and pray we all make the best of this time and we will be together soon. I will email you as soon as we are able to resume our normal schedule My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Stay well be safe. ~ Ladies Club President, Lucille Gould FS Ladies Club Book Club All readers interested in good books, let us continue to read. Maybe we can share of opinions and critiques on the novels until we're able to meet again. Miss all of you and our great discussions. Our book for May is The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. According to recent research from The Mayo Clinic, knitting, crocheting and other types of crafting are cognitive exercises that may reduce Alzheimer's risk by 30 to 50 percent. With knitting and crocheting there are always new skills and techniques to learn. Your brain and your hands are getting a good workout, while the completed project can be very rewarding. At the same time, this can be very relaxing and a great stress reducer. So if a relaxing activity and some great socializing sound appealing to you, please come check us out on the first and fourth Friday of each month at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room at The Lodge. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please contact Donna Morrell (951) 385-3808 or Maggie Fussell (951) 388-7640.
