Incumbent Vice President and Secretary Loren DuChesne was challenged by resident Dr. Barbara Kwiatkowska-Amerton for DuChesne's expiring term. The results of the election were announced at the Annual Board Meeting on April 25 – after the deadline for inclusion in the Breeze. All but two of Four Seasons Beaumont's 13 districts reached quorum – 50 percent of the homeowners voting – and those votes were tallied. Two districts – Heritage One and Monarch One representing 209 votes – failed of quorum. Under the HOA's complex voting rules the delegates from the quorum districts cast all the districts' "directed votes" in the same proportion as votes actually cast. The delegates from the non-quorum districts cast all district votes however they wish. The HOA did not release any results until the directed vote of the quorum districts was calculated and the non-quorum delegates voted on April 25. However, General Manager Lisa Lynn said, "It appears the majority of the votes are in favor of Mr. DuChesne." The results have been posted on the Four Seasons website.. ~ Leighton McLaughlin Did You Know? SINKHOLE? Four Seasons has it's very own sinkhole. That's the reason for the "Area Unsafe" signs on the trail near the Lodge by Portrero Creek. According to Lisa Lynn, our General Manager, K. Hovnanian is addressing the issue and they plan to repair. She has not yet been updated on the date of completion. She noted that the trail may have been undermined by the rain, gopher activity or the recent earthquake movement. PHONE BOOKS There is a large quantity of 2013 Yellow Books available free of charge. Residents can stop by the Potrero Gatehouse to pick one up. HANDICAP PARKING We will have four new Handicapped Parking places on the west side of the parking lot. These were approved by the Board of Directors at the March General Session. BULKY TRASH Two times in a calendar year, residents may request the free pick up of household bulky items from Waste Management. Up to six items at a time may be picked up. Additional bulky item collections are available at a nominal cost.
