The Ocean Hills Anglers hit the pause button
due to the coronavirus and our April 14 club
meeting and April 23 ¾ trip was canceled. The
club's May 14 ¾ day trip at the time this article was
written had not been canceled. There are five spots open on the May
14 trip and the OHA hopes we will be able to get out on the water
in May. Those interested in joining us on the May 14 trip should
send an email to ron.carso@cox.net. OHA member price is $126 and
guests $131.
If you are not sure about joining our club, as a resident you may
join club members on any trip as a guest, providing there is space
available.
The picture above was taken in February 2009 in the early stages
of swine flu (H1N1) pandemic. At the time there was
no shut down of our country and a group of Ocean
Hills Anglers went on a fishing trip to La Paz, Baja
California on the Sea of Cortez. The Anglers on this
trip caught a variety of fish, yellow tail, Dorado, etc. Those pictured
left to right, Steve Malone, Ted Griffin (deceased), Dennis Lady, Paul
Yoshida, Ed Gunderson, Fred Campbell, and Bob White.
The Ocean Hills Anglers have a website with lots of information
about our club, fishing conditions and fish preparation recipes.
