Helping Hands maintains an inventory of wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes and shower chairs for people living in Ocean Hills Country Club. Call one of the volunteers listed at the end of this article and we will deliver to your door at no cost to you. You can help a neighbor in OHCC by donating a clean, serviceable item that you are no longer using to Helping Hands. Check your storage areas for the items listed in this article. Due to the temporary closure of our Clubhouse and current restrictions we cannot meet. VetArt operates free workshops for all veterans, active duty members as well as their family members and care-givers. It provides free Deep Arts Engagement and Art Therapy. You can see what VetArt does by going online to Vetart.org. We hope to have Steve as a speaker in the future, after our Clubhouse is reopened. During our holiday party last December, we had a number of military guests. One guest was Sergeant Major Jeremy Black from the 1st Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (1st ANGELICO). We decided to get to know more about them and offered to sponsor and possibly visit them in the future. Camp Pendleton is their permanent headquarters. We feel we can benefit and be of assistance to the unit in the future. While we do not know when we will again be able continue to have Village Vets meetings and guest speakers, we intend on keeping you informed with our monthly Bugle publication both online and delivered to our current members. If you didn't get the opportunity to join us this year yet, you can still leave a check for $10 per person. Please mark on your check "for dues" put it into an envelope and deliver it to the tube of our Treasurer, Bob Smith at 5059 Dassia in Portofino.
