Summer Ice Cream Socials UPCOMING Get your friends together and cool down during the summer with an Ice Cream Social! Join us on the Veranda from 1 to 2:15 pm on Tues., June 18, Tues., July 23 and Wed., Aug. 21. We are offering Ice Cream Sundaes for $3 (vanilla or chocolate ice cream with a choice of syrup, sprinkles, whip cream, and a cherry - no refills). Sat., June 8, 7:30 - 9 pm, Main Clubhouse Ballroom Join us as we have "Remembering the Ladies" starring British sensation Toni Morrell with musical director David Dial at Sun Lakes Country Club. This show will be a wonderful musical and visual salute to the legendary ladies of show business, including Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Edith Piaf, Marilyn Monroe, Barbra Streisand, Shirley MacLaine, and many more! This show was voted "Best solo show at the California Theater in 2010!" as well as "Best Special Theatre Event Los Angeles by Broadway World." Tickets are $10 each and go on sale May 3, at the Main Clubhouse reception. Doors open at 6:30 pm with theater seating, which is first come, first served. Robin Sick Fitness Tips Our Fitness Trainer, Robin Sick, will be holding her last fitness seminar, "Balance and Stability Exercises," on Wed., May 15, 12:30 to 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. The seminar is FREE to residents, so please invite your friends and neighbors to attend with you. Robin will be in the fitness rooms on the following days and times at the fitness center listed: • Mondays, Main Clubhouse, 1-3pm • Tuesdays, South Clubhouse, 1-3pm • Wednesdays, South Clubhouse, 8-10am • Thursdays, North Clubhouse, 1-4pm She also offers ½ hour personal training packages with one on one interaction for an extra fee. If you are interested, you can contact Robin at 229-7460. Music Under the Stars Pool Openings The Main and North pools will reopen for the season and start being heated on Wed., May 1. Please remember: • Underage guest hours are from 10 am – 2 pm daily, with the exception of Memorial Day weekend (5/25, 5/26, 5/27) and Labor Day weekend (8/31, 9/1, 9/2) where underage guests can stay from 10 am – 4 pm. Please respect the Lifeguard and Security Officers as they ask residents and their guests to vacate the pool at those times. • Refer to your Rules and Regulations for other rules concerning the pool and spa area. Get ready for our exciting entertainment on the veranda this summer! Starting in June, the Recreation Department will provide three FREE evenings of wonderful music!
