As always, the library continues to order books each month. You will have an amazing array to choose from when the library is able to open. Remember that you can continue to request books from our website. If you do so, you will already be on the list for the books you want when the library reopens. Last month, we had a number of your favorite authors on the list: John Grisham, James Patterson, Stephen King, John Sandford, and Danielle Steele to name a few. This month is no different. We again have several of your favorites. One interesting book is by prolific author Michael Connelly. Connelly's most famous character is Detective Harry Bosch. However, this month's book Fair Warning presents main character Jack McEvoy. McEvoy is an investigative journalist hunting a serial killer who is using genetic data to select his victims. Fair Warning is only the third book about McEvoy written by Connelly. Another interesting book for June is The Last Trial by Scott Turow. Turow is a Harvard educated lawyer whose specialty is legal thrillers. In this book, 85-year-old Sandy Stern defends a Nobel Prize winning old friend against a murder charge. It is Stern's duty to defend his friend, but does he really believe in his friend's innocence? Remember that you can only request these new books if you are a library member. To become a member, please send your $15 check to the HOA or to the library treasurer Ellen Kipple. Your $15 will cover the dues for your entire household until the end of the year.
