| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2020 | 19
Library Advisory
If you're running out of reading material during our
homebound days, we have a temporary solution. Until our
libraries re-open, we have approximately 200 mysteries, thrillers,
romances and some non-fiction (including biographies), some
puzzles and a few audio books available for pickup on the front
patio of 5354 W. Pinehurst Dr from 10 am to 5 pm daily (weather
permitting). You may also drop off books, puzzles and audio
books for others to share. Please allow one person at the tables
at a time and use masks, gloves, or sanitizer as you wish. Be
safe and hopefully we'll be able to utilize our libraries and other
amenities again soon.
Recreation Advisory
I have to say right up front that I am so proud of our Sun Lakes
citizens. Everyone has done a wonderful job of staying in your homes
except for essential travels. Going to the grocery store or drug store is
an event. And how exciting when the golf courses reopened. We had
life in Sun Lakes again. Whoever is the Rock Fairy, or maybe Rock
Fairies, thank you. You touched many lives. And all the ladies of Sun
Lakes that sewed masks and tried to get them to every Sun Laker
at no charge. Lots of sharing and caring with extra supplies among
friends and neighbors. Missing our families with all our hearts.
Staying in touch with whatever video sharing we use. So special.
Learning new things and new hobbies. Boy, were jigsaw puzzles
popular. Just not enough to go around. Thanks to the residents who
offered their porches to get books and jigsaw puzzles and homemade
masks. All so generous to keep us busy and safe. Looks like June will
be the month that we get our activities going again. Won't that be
great? Evenings on the Veranda, Ice Cream Socials, Music Under the
Stars, Comedy Club, and an Indoor Movie. We still have postponed
events but those will happen and we will all be looking forward to
those events. I know we are all getting anxious to get out but please
remember to stay safe. See you soon.
