All of us are looking forward to coming back together again when the time is safe. TOPS is real people — caring, giving people, who band together to help and support each other to lead healthier lives. We accept each other as we are and encourage each other to succeed. TOPS is here for you! We invite you to visit our TOPS chapter when we start back. We meet at the South Clubhouse on Thursday with weigh-ins from 9 to 9:50 am, meeting from 10 to 11 am. Our TOPS membership is only $32 a year plus $3 monthly chapter dues which includes six TOPS magazines a year and access to our TOPS website. Our TOPS chapter will be crowning our 2019 royalty and honoring our Division Winners in July. Date will be announced in next issue of Lifestyles. TOPS Southern California Area Recognition Days have been rescheduled to Aug. 28 and 29 at the DoubleTree Hotel located at 222 N. Vineyard Ave, Ontario, CA. While many of us are staying safer at home, it's easy to lose motivation toward your health journey. You might feel discouraged or feel like giving up. On those difficult days, give these tips for staying positive a try. Help someone in need. Doing a good deed for others can make you happier too. Move. Exercise boosts your mood. Even walking your dog around the neighborhood can make you feel better. Can't get out? March in place or dance. Check in with a TOPS pal to see how they're doing. Be their source of encouragement. Remember how far you've come. Pull out an old photo or journal, Take the afternoon and make a vision board. Fill it with your favorite quotes, songs and images. It will motivate you to stay the course. Forgive yourself for a bad day and move on. Tomorrow is a new day and another chance to get back on track. Everyone stay healthy and safe.
