| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | June 2020 | 21 Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, & time. Someone once said, "Life is what happens while you're making other plans." We can all certainly identify with such words of wisdom during these current, unprecedented times. As we continue to navigate this unchartered territory, we wish you all good health, blessed wishes, and the discovery of new norms as you pass the time. Perhaps discovering you may be a garden enthusiast after all will help to pass the time more enjoyably, getting you outside to reflect, restore, and breathe. Think of it as your very own process of photosynthesis. Plus, you'll enjoy the added benefit, at the end of our collective quarantine, of not having one weed, or shred of dry plant matter collecting anywhere in our yards! Surrounded by our amazing environment here at Four Seasons, with the delightful sounds and smells of nature, life is also a state of mind. We hope yours remains positive until we meet again… Once conditions for social distancing are removed, Late Bloomers meets the second Monday of every month at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. All Four Seasons residents are welcome to attend both meetings and excursions. For more information, please contact Sharon Deuber at (760) 500-0077 or Sharon@BlackDiamondInvestments.net. "Late Bloomers" Garden Club From the President - Gary Sopata: As this goes to the printer for publication in June, we at Four Seasons Golf Club are still sidelined by Riverside County directives until June 20. The Board is monitoring the Riverside County updates and we will inform our membership of any changes to their directives. From Handicap Chair - Melody Lewis: Posting scores during pandemic: I've been asked about "posting scores" during this pandemic. The SCGA has addressed this issue. Basically, yes, you may post your scores although the ball has "not been holed" due to the cup being inaccessible. A golf round played under these conditions, for handicap purposes, may be posted using "most likely score" guidelines. Please refer to Rule 3.3 of the Rules of Handicapping. From Greens Liaison - Bill Barnes: Golf course is open! Until further notice, players need to be aware that the golf course is requiring you to have a credit card on file with them since they are not accepting cash payments at this time. Please contact the golf course directly to book your personal tee times and get updated rules for play. Our treasurer, Vivian Ceballos took the lead on working with the Sunshine Club and our club to get a number of masks and distributed those to members who requested them. We had over 40 masks delivered by Vivian. A big THANK YOU to the Sunshine Club for making the masks and to Vivian for getting the masks out.
