22 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | June 2020 | To all our Ladies Club members and the community, I hope you are safe and well. This is a time for us to support each other, be respectful of our neighbors, and SMILE. Stay positive and make the best of your time in doing some fun, thoughtful things. We have all said at one time or another, "If I just had the time I would." What would that be, clean out your closets, clean out the garage or the boxes we stored away years ago and never went through? How about doing a puzzle? Remember when we used to write a letter to our family. This is a perfect time to write down a little about yourself and your family history to pass on to your grandchildren. Tell them something about yourself they didn't know. I hope and pray we all make the best of this time and we will be together soon. I will email you as soon as we are able to resume our normal schedule. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Stay well be safe. ~ Ladies Club President, Lucille Gould FS Ladies Club Book Club Our book for June is The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Due to virus and everyone's safety, I'll be hosting a Zoom meeting. Hope all of you interested in good discussions will join us. The day before meeting, I'll send you a password. Any questions call me at (951) 926-6336 or vhitt@ hotmail.com. ~ Vicki Allen-Hitt Did you know? There are a lot of signs that knitting and crocheting may help delay or prevent age related memory loss. According to recent research from The Mayo Clinic, knitting, crocheting and other types of crafting are cognitive exercises that may reduce Alzheimer's risk by 30 to 50 percent. With knitting and crocheting there are always new skills and techniques to learn. Your brain and your hands are getting a good workout, while the completed project can be very rewarding. At the same time, this can be very relaxing and a great stress reducer. So if a relaxing activity and some great socializing sound appealing to you, please come check us out on the first and fourth Friday of each month at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room at The Lodge. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please contact Donna Morrell (951) 385-3808 or Maggie Fussell (951) 388-7640. Needle Me The show must go on! And our shows will… eventually! Please look for our rescheduling of Grand Night of Musical Theater. We sincerely hope you and your family stay safe during these turbulent times. We will soon see you all around the community. ~ Chris Pounders Players Theater Women In Touch (WIT) As many of you know, there is a very special group of ladies here in the community who have bonded together to form the WIT Team. This group of ladies all share a common bond, the loss of the love of their life. This group of ladies meets the first Monday of every month in the Ballroom at 5 pm for dinner and lively conversation. We are your support group and this is your invitation to come join us and be a part of the WIT Team here at Four Seasons. Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, & time. Happy Campers RV Club I hope you are all well as we continue our "social distancing." The Happy Campers RV Club trip to Pismo Beach in September is still a "go" at this time. It's a great time of the year to visit the beaches and restaurants in town. "Jeepers" can also ride the dunes which makes for an interesting and fun day. If you are interested in participating in this trip, Linda Wetter is the Wagonmaster and is collecting the down payment. Four Seasons Happy Campers RV Club usually meets the first Saturday of the month in the Multipurpose Room at 10 am. However until further notice, we have had to cancel future meetings for now. We encourage donations of canned food: beans, soups or fruit, cereal and pasta (no expired dates please) for the Hemet Food Pantry. "Stay In Place - Maintain Your Space - Cover Your Face" Be safe and take care, Co-Chairs for the Happy Campers: Cynthia Ellingworth, cynthia0430@verizon.net and/or Julie Muldoon, muldoon_julie@ hotmail.com."
