24 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | June 2020 | We are so grateful for the telephonic connection that was provided by Patty Jones so that SASY could continue to "work out the kinks" during this sedentary time of quarantine. We had a very good turnout and, even though we couldn't do our usual "lip exercises," we were able to greet each other and fuss about how tough it was to be away from each other. We did know that all of this was for the better good. When we get back to a normal class schedule, I hope we don't forget what a blessing our friendships have been during this trying time. We are huggers in the SASY group. There is therapy in placing our arms around our friends and being joyous about seeing one another again. So, on with the hugs and strength training. Hope to see you all soon in the Ballroom for our regular class routine. Until then, stay safe! When meetings resume, we'll be in The Lodge Ballroom at 7:30 am every Tuesday and Thursday. If you have questions regarding this class, please call: Jeanne Lincoln (765-7112), Char Weakley (926-2599) or Joyce Kerns (325-8840). Strong Adults Stay Young (SASY) Come join us for Zumba, Zumba! Shannon's certifications include AFAA, AEA, SPIN, RIPPED, ZUMBA, Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit, Optum, and CPR/First Aid. exercise with a certified instructor "Walk-Fit" Exercise Club Hope this finds all of you staying safe and healthy. These last couple of months have been a challenge for all of us. It's hard to find ways to get the exercise we need, but here are a few suggestions. SASY is still having class electronically. If you are interested, contact Patty Jones to be added to their invite list. Shannon is offering Zumba via YouTube. I believe you can even find some Walk Fit classes on YouTube, just google "Leslie Sansone YouTube." We all have a lovely community to walk in. Dave and I have been taking advantage of this great opportunity. Hopefully, we will be back in class soon. At this writing it has not been decided when things will begin opening at our beautiful Lodge. Just know that I miss being with all of you. Whenever we resume, the class and schedule will be the same. The class consists of eight different Leslie Sansone "Walk Fit" dvds. The easy-to-follow routines are set to music with varying tempos. The complete class is four miles, but you can come late or leave early to shorten your routine and work at your own level. A few of the dvds incorporate resistance bands (always optional). Some class members add light hand weights for added strength training. Stop by and give us a try. New members are always welcome! We meet Mon., Wed., Fri. from 7:45 to 8:45 am in The Lodge Ballroom. CLASS IS FREE! Please be safe and wear a mask when going out. For more class information, contact Karen Tuvim (316) 260-0847. Join us for the Cardio & Strength Class taught by Certified Instructor Shannon Ramsey. This class is the perfect way to work on strength, balance and endurance! We use exercise bands and one, two, or three-pound weights to increase our strength and balance, while simple step routines to perfectly choreographed music help build our cardio endurance. Best part… it's completely modifiable to a chair routine so you can work at your own ability level. Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, & time.
