The food drive was a huge success! It was a beautiful sunny day
and everyone was smiling (mask and all). The Valley Community
Pantry was touched to experience such generosity. I was told that the
monetary donations will go to help with senior programs including
assistance with prescriptions. It was also discussed that the postal
carriers will not be holding their annual food drive in May leaving a
$30,000 void for the Pantry. Stay tuned on more ways we can help the
Pantry in the coming weeks. A special thank you to the volunteers
who collected the donations at our make shift drive-thru stations:
Ginny Cole-Weaver, Karen Stevens, Linda Elliott, Jerry and Nancy
Hawkins. Resident and Pantry Board member Leonard Gleason also
stopped by to assist. Pantry staff loaded 15 barrels of donated goods
in the trailer! We know we missed some of you in our window of
time and hope to see you at the next one. The spirit of giving is alive
and well in Four Seasons!
