GENERAL MANAGER'S MESSAGE By Anna Machado I'm sure many homeowners have wondered what the staff has been up to while we've been closed. Besides receiving at least triple the amount of emails daily, we have also made some great progress on several of the pending projects. I'd like to provide you with just some of the highlights. The parking lot asphalt project is underway. At the time I prepared this article, the vendor was scheduled to perform some repairs on May 19 which required 30 days to cure. The vendor will be back June 23 to perform the seal coating and striping of the parking lot. As more details become available on this project, I will send out additional communications so the residents will know what to expect for parking lot access. The back patio sling-back chairs are all getting new slings. They have already been picked up and are slated for delivery in the beginning of June. The interior design project for the lobby and adjoining areas has finally gained traction! The painting and electrical work has begun and we are in the process of removing the outgoing furnishings to make room for the new items. We hope to have this project mostly, if not totally, completed by the time the facilities are re-opened. The outdoor pool decking will soon have the spot repairs completed throughout that area. The indoor pool repairs will take a little longer to complete because we will be replacing the decking and re-plastering the pool. I will continue to provide updates on this project with more details and timelines as that information becomes available. We have also been working on several other smaller projects such as replacing all the restroom faucets in the Lodge (so they don't get stuck on anymore), replacing the garbage disposal in the kitchen, replacing the blown speakers in a few areas of the facility, installing additional irrigation equipment in the common areas that will help with minimizing water use, and several other minor repairs as well. The budget and annual disclosure mailing was sent out at the end of May. If you did not receive a copy, please contact the office and we will send you one. Also, if you have any questions or concerns about the content, please contact me directly and I would be happy to help! Please note that the new assessment amount will be effective as of July 1. If you pay your assessment bill through an online bill pay system through your own bank, please make sure you update the amount before hand to avoid getting any late fees on partial payments. Please mark your calendar for June 4 at 9 am for the next Coffee with the Crew! Looping in the staff to our May session seemed to be very well received and I will keep this format as long as we remain closed so you can all see and hear from each staff member. We all miss you terribly and look forward to getting things back to normal. Hang in there friends! Hopefully we can put this all behind us soon. COFFEE WITH THE CREW VIA ZOOM June 4 at 9 am. Directions on how to access will be sent by email. See article above for more details!
