Posting of scores is allowed under the flagpole shallow pin cup setup; however, because the Main Golf Pro Shop is closed during the COVID-19 restrictions, you will need to either post your score by using the GHIN mobile app or online at https://www.ghin.com/login. Also, plan on participating in a tournament. It can be a lot of fun and a chance to earn script for flight gross/net winners even with the COVID-19 golf guidelines. On Wed. July 8, there will be a Two Man Best Ball tournament with Pick your Partner or Computer Pick. The SLMGC Board is reviewing adding additional tournament dates later this year to replace the tournaments that had to be canceled. We are looking for new members to join us. The dues are $70 ($34 goes towards men's club dues and $36 pays for maintaining your S.C.G.A. / GHIN handicap). Membership forms are available in the Main Golf Pro Shop. Men's Golf The Executive is an 18-Hole course with six challenging par fours and lots of water. We have a tournament on the third Friday of the month followed by a catered lunch in the North Clubhouse. The Executive Men's Club meets on Friday mornings at 8:30 am for a 9 am shotgun start. We also have closest to the pin and circle hole contests every Friday. The July tournament schedule is on hold due to COVID-19. Membership is open to all Sun Lakes male residents and all levels of golfers are welcome. COME JOIN US! New member forms are available in the North Pro Shop or on the EMGC website. Saturday Morning Golf Are you still working and looking for a weekend golf option? Are you interested in sharpening your short game skills? Do you enjoy having a relaxed game of golf? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may wish to join our Saturday Morning Golf Group. We play on the Executive Course. Our membership includes men and women with a large range of handicaps. Our members share a love of the game. We have shotgun starts. Most of the year, October through June, the check in time is 8:30 am with a 9 am shotgun. In the summer, July through September, the check in time is 8 am with a 8:30 am shotgun. We hold monthly tournaments, an annual Club Championship competition, and quarterly dinners. Membership application forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual dues are only $15. Couples Club play has started up again, and everyone is really happy. The golf game may be a little rusty, but the companionship and good times are better than ever.
