Meet some of Our
Mask-Making Heroes!
It was a dark and stormy time. The "stay-at-home-order" was announced, COVID-19
was declared and everyone, everywhere was required to wear masks immediately! Oh
my gosh, where would people find all of these required masks?! There was a mask
crisis… until a group of skilled seamstresses, later to be called the "Mask-Making
Heroes," fired up their trusty sewing machines and began sewing literally thousands
of masks! They went to our neighborhoods, they went to hospitals, nursing homes
and other important places needing masks to function safely. We owe a huge debt
of gratitude for going to such lengths to help us at no cost to us (even our staff was
provided for so they had the ability to serve). The next few pages have pictures of
many of our heroes at work. Thank you so much… we could not be more grateful!
