FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2020 21 Way back in 2016 there was a beautiful fountain in front of our RCN building, the original sales office, now repurposed as FirstService Management office. The fountain required costly repairs. The decision was made to replace the fountain with plants. The Landscape Committee, after much thought and discussion, chose to make this small but very visible area a test garden. This year, beginning in late February the magnolia showed us its flower fullness and striking soft pink and white colors. The March and April color from the azaleas, roses and snowball bush is "real eye candy" for HOA visitors. Check it out in the early spring . ~ Lynette Simonson, lynette.simonson@gmail.com Landscape Committee Just in case: Check with your committee chair to confirm meeting place, date, and time. Hello from your Social Committee! Hope all are doing well during this lovely quarantine time of face masks and social distancing. The event plans continue to move ahead, however we are waiting to hear what Phase 3 will look like and may be in effect by the time you read this July Breeze. Once we are fully aware, we will let everyone know and we will do our part to accommodate the correct rules of safety and wellness as we move forward. The Mentalist Event is scheduled for July 11 at 7 pm. Details will be posted in the Lobby and placed in the Daily Report. There will be refreshments, coffee, water, raffles, and by all means bring your own favorite beverage if you desire. Seating will be theater style so bring a cooler if you would like a place to set your drinks. Additionally, we will have servers for coffee and refreshments to avoid any cross contamination and fresh cups/glasses at each pour. We will certainly be happy to see some entertainment and it is our pleasure to give you our best. Have a wonderful July Fourth and it will be great to see you all again soon! ~ Joyce Hogue, jhogue54@gmail.com Social Committee The Safety Committee met via Zoom in June and signed off on the work to eliminate the outstanding trip hazards in the community. That work will be completed in the next few weeks. Speeding and careless driving issues were discussed also. Please note there is no parking on Four Seasons Circle allowed at any time. Speed limit signs, currently 30 mph, will be placed from The Summit to the Crooked Creek gate after the traffic survey is completed. Green Creek speed limit is 25 mph and Trail C crosses this street with warning signs to yield to pedestrians. Any reckless driving should be reported to Eric Zarr with, if possible, a good description of the offending vehicle and driver, while avoiding a direct confrontation. Drivers should slow down and watch for people crossing and social distancing which may necessitate walking in the street. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 7. Please participate via Zoom or send in your concerns via email to issues@ fourseasonsbeaumont.org. ~ Geoffrey Wilson, sw072153@aol.com Safety Committee
