Women's Evening Bible Study "To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow." ~ Audrey Hepburn I heard someone say "we are in the in-between. What is your focus during this time?" I decided to start a raised garden during the "in-between." I have focused on the plants every day and as I'm writing this article a few blooms have appeared. Hopefully, in July I will be enjoying the fruits of my labor including radishes, lettuce, tomatoes and bell peppers. What is our focus in Bible study? We are growing in our understanding of God's Word and becoming more intimate with Him. We study and use His Word in our lives with practical applications to honor Him. We care for one another with encouraging words and prayer. We enjoy our time of fellowship. We are non-denominational and all women are invited to our gatherings. During the "in-between" I have been doing Bible study videos twice a month. First, I send out the lesson questions for us to review and the next day the video. If you are new to our community and would like to join in please contact me by email. In the last few months I have had several women new to Four Seasons join our Bible study. It is a wonderful privilege to lead our Bible study and I miss seeing all our lovely women. It's the time to be patient and wait on the Lord. We are moving along in our study "Parables of Jesus." We have completed 35 and only 11 more to go (whew!). Jesus teaches so much about our hearts. It says in the Bible that our life reflects our hearts. Thankful hearts bring much joy. We are thankful that we have the freedom to study God's Word. I truly look forward to the day that we will meet together again in The Lodge until then may our Lord keep you safe, healthy and give you peace. ~ Mary Baer, baerhuggy@icloud.com Life Guide Bible Study As of this writing, we do not know when the current "shelter in place" orders might be lifted. It seems best to assume we will not resume regular meetings until September just following Labor Day. We will determine the date for our opening potluck and first session hopefully by August. Please continue to uphold each other in prayer and keep in touch by phone and email. Come September, we will plan to continue our regular meetings on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm in the third section of The Lodge Ballroom. We invite all residents to join us for fellowship, discussion, and learning from God's Word. Please contact Doc or Letha Sellars with any questions or comments at (951) 797-3302 or docletha72@gmail. com. ~ Doc Sellars We are so grateful for the current teleconferencing technology, but we all miss seeing each other so much! It's not the same when we can't be in person, giving smiles, hugs and fellowshipping with one another. Although we do have between 33 and 45 women attending via teleconference every Friday, it's just not the same as before the stay-at-home orders. Obviously. We will complete our study series entitled "Wonderful God" on July 3. Starting on May 22, each week we studied one of the seven natural wonders of the world that God created for our awe and enjoyment, and then paralleled that with a Biblical discussion of one of the seven wonders of our amazing God. For instance, the first week we talked about Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and paralleled it with how God spoke the world into existence because of His incomprehensible love for us, and gave us everything we would ever need to enjoy life. The next week we learned about Mount Everest in Nepal and paralleled that with Jesus Christ's incarnation ~ being fully man and fully God. We will complete this series on July 3, and then will begin the study of the Book of Isaiah, which is rich in beauty, prophecy and God's majestic love for us. If any of you wonderful Four Seasons women out there are interested in joining a wonderful group of amazing women who love and honor God and enjoy studying His precious Word, please come join us. We usually meet every Friday at 10:30 am in The Lodge Game Room. Until The Lodge reopens, however, please email me with your request to join via teleconference, and I will forward you the dial-in information. Hope to hear from you soon! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine; egcellent@msn.com "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Intercessory Prayer group Greeting intercessors, friends, and neighbors! I hope that all is well with you and your family. We are all still waiting for a breakthrough from this pandemic that is hovering over the world. We should pray constantly and never faint, waver, or give up. Many things are going on in the world today, I encourage you not to fear or be dismayed, many people are praying all over the world. Franklin Delano Roosevelt said in his 1933 inaugural address, "So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself — the nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance." Come join us on the conference line every Monday at 9 am. You can reach me at eaglewatchwl@aol.com. ~ Cookie Bonner 54 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2020 Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time.
