Fun & Games 20-20 Hand & foot canasta I'm sorry to say I have no good news for you at this time. Until the "6 foot limit" is rescinded, we will not be able to play. Hopefully things will improve soon. Until that time, everyone try to stay well and try not to forget how to play H & F. Hope to see all of you soon. Billye Hibbard, (951) 926-8880. Bunco Babes Hello Bunco Babes, I hope you are all well and keeping safe. It looks like the community is starting to have some life to it. This COVID-19 has caused us all to be shut in and leaving our entertainment to ourselves. We all have our own idea of what entertainment is. Cooking, reading, cleaning or gardening. I was hoping since the community is starting to loosen up that we would be able to start up our Bunco group BUT it is still under the restriction of 20 people with distancing and of cause we can't do that with bunco. I hope we will be back by the fall if not sooner. I will keep everyone informed and any changes as soon as I KNOW THEM. I am ready are you? Hope to see you all soon. Lucille Gould, (951) 325-8366. Double Deck Pinochle Join us Fridays, 10 am in The Lodge Multipurpose Room. We are a small group hoping to expand. Don't know how to play double deck pinochle? We will teach you. It is a lot of fun. For more information, contact Dick Tarpening (951) 766-7613. Euchre Are you interested? Sign up at The Lodge. Hand & Foot I hardly know how to begin this… our world is in complete turmoil. All we can hope for is that this will end soon. Try to be safe and just hold on tight. We may have a long time to go. So stay home, love your family and be kind to everyone. We will probably all have to re-learn Hand & Foot again. Love to all of you and hope to see you soon. Mah Jongg Club The Mah Jongg Club players look forward to this time of year when we start playing with the new card for 2020 on April 1. The cards have arrived but where did all the players go? Well, they are staying in their own homes and obeying the mandates. We are so anxious to play again and when that day finally arrives, we'll see how many of us have studied the card and in fact, practically memorized the hands. For those of you not familiar with the game, each year the national Mah Jongg League issues a new card with new hands to play. So it is a perfect time for you to join us and have a fun time learning, playing and socializing. Or, you may be an experienced player who is new to our community and would like to join our group. When the time comes, we play every Monday and Thursday from 1 to 3 pm in the Multipurpose Room. If you want to learn how to play, we have written instructions and someone is always available to teach you. You are welcome to come and observe anytime when we are playing. We also have birthday luncheons, holiday parties and other get togethers throughout the year. For information please contact Mila Bodrov at 223-3338 or Marilyn Fields at (619) 892-1128. Mexican Train Speaking for myself, I've really missed playing Mexican Train with my friends. Perhaps this unusual turn of events has caused each and every one of us to stop and think about all the different activities and amenities that we have available to us in our lovely community. As you read this month's Herald, hopefully we have been able to resume our normal lives. If that is not the case, please remember that Mexican Train will resume when the mandatory 'lock down' has ended. For more information, contact Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or misserdog@outlook.com. We look forward to having even more of our neighbors come join us. Hope to see you there! Poker Mondays and Thursdays at 12 pm in the Multipurpose room. Come join us! Scrabble Playing Scrabble against the computer just isn't as challenging as playing with my friends at The Lodge. Our Scrabble group might be small, but we really enjoy the game and would very much like to see more of our neighbors join us. Under normal circumstances, we meet on Monday afternoons at 3:30 pm in The Lodge Multipurpose Room, so come on down and give it a try. For more information, contact Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or misserdog@outlook.com.
