8 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2020 | It is with gratitude that we wish Dennis Kenyon a sincere thank you for his years of dedication and commitment to our Architectural Review Committee. Dennis has been an invaluable member of our Committee and our community, offering his expertise and experience for many years. We send our best wishes to Dennis and Barbara in their new home. With Dennis' resignation, we recruited a new Committee member. After interviewing excellent candidates, we recommended John Swindell to our Board of Directors, who approved his nomination. John offers some of his background here: "I was born and raised in Colorado. I served in the US Navy for four years and attended SDSU and obtained a BA Degree in Business Finance. I worked for Bimbo Bakeries USA in Retail Sales in Southern California performing many positions, driving Sales and Market Shares, and selling strong National/Regional Brands such as Oroweat Bread, Entenmanns Cakes, and Thomas Muffins to name a few. I retired in June, 2018 after 34 years as Director of Sales. We moved from the Murrieta/Wildomar area into Four Seasons in Hemet in April, 2019. My wife Janet and I have been married for 39 years and have been blessed with three children and 10 grandchildren. Seven of our grandchildren live here in Southern California, while the other three live in Owasso, Oklahoma. We are known to our grand kids as Granjan and Pops. I enjoy RV camping, fishing, golfing, tinkering with projects around the house, along with spending time with family and friends. We are drawn to this community by its beauty and amenities along with the wonderful people that live here and who have been so friendly and helpful. We look forward in doing our part in maintaining a desirable place to live within our community." Our Architectural Review Committee welcomes John and Janet to Four Seasons and look forward to working with John to continue to keep our Four Seasons community safe, healthy, and beautiful. Well, here we are staring at the seventh month of 2020. We are half way through the year and things still have not returned to normal. As of this writing nothing has been determined as to when the Bistro's full-service dining or Ballroom events will become a reality. It makes us realize how lucky we are to have the Bistro, even at limited seating for now! Francisco always looks forward to new suggestions so if you have developed a hunger for something you do not find on the menu, please let someone on the Bistro Committee or the wait staff know your desire so we can work on it. I was requested by Francisco and his staff to offer their deepest appreciation and thanks to each of you for your patronage of takeout meals through this rough time. Your loyal support gave them a reason to come to work and keep the doors open. Being able to order to-go keeps our tummy happy until we can once again join friendly faces and socialize with other patrons enjoying meals in the Bistro. Open hours for the Bistro are from 7 am to 7 pm. I hear the breakfast crowd is really missed. Are you sleeping in or skipping breakfast? Francisco and staff also wish to thank those diligent deliverers of the to-go meals for their time and effort. Neither masks nor six foot distancing could deter them. They get an "A" rating from all of us. After a two month hiatus, we had our first Bistro meeting on June 9 and welcomed new volunteers to the committee. We look forward to all of us working together with all of you by assisting with your plans for future parties and social events. We wait impatiently for group activities to happen.
