By Melissa Valona Hello everyone! Despite not being able to hold events there are a few updates I would like to go over with you all. The website project is coming to an end. Please note, when you receive emails from our email blast coming from management or the website, and you unsubscribe you will no longer receive our updates. We try our best to limit the number of announcements sent out so your feed is not filled, but you can't turn off one without stopping all notifications. It is a much more difficult task than adding your email back to the list. I have received many questions as to when we will be holding a shred-it event as well as a garage sale event. I would have loved to put this into action while we were all stuck at home, but after much research I found it to not be possible. The shred-it company is still not holding any shred-it events. As soon as the restrictions are lifted, I will announce a date. Please get your bankers boxes ready for shredding. As far as garage sales, the city is currently issuing garage sale permits but city hall is not open. There are several steps to be taken to have your permit approved while the office is closed. Until city hall is opened, we will be delaying our annual garage sale event. Individuals may hold their own sale in the meantime, but make sure you submit your permit to Jenevieve. Again, once city hall has reopened and all participants have an easy access to obtain permits, we will get a community garage sale event scheduled. I submitted a request to the Board of Directors for review on the following items. • allow Barbara Calderon hold yoga classes on the lawn • allow saved time slots to hold water aerobics in the outdoor pools with Barbara • allow for ping pong to be set up outside • allow for a live band and food truck vendors attended a Fourth of July event held in the parking lot • set aside time to allow homeowners to check out library books until the facility opens We are all working together to give access to as many activities that are safe for resident participation. It's going to be an adjustment for us all while we learn what precautions must be taken. Thank you for your patience and understanding. LIFESTYLE REPORT SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | JULY 2020 5
