Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time.
Unfortunately we were unable to meet last month. There is a strong possibility that we won't
be meeting this month either. If there is any chance of meeting, you will receive a phone call
from one of us advising of our meeting place. Please know that we are here for you. If you feel
the need to talk, you can call us. Our phone numbers are listed below. Diane is very familiar
with using Zoom. Call her if you are interested in setting that up with her and a few others in
the group. I miss seeing each one of you and pray that we can meet again soon. PLEASE BE
SAFE!
If you have any questions, would like to learn more about Memory Loss, or would like
reading materials that we can loan you, call Diane, (951) 769-0130, Doug, (360) 840-5559 or
Anne, (951) 845-8700. Remember we are here to help.
WARNING SIGN #4: CONFUSION WITH TIME OR PLACE. People with Alzheimer's can
lose track of dates, seasons and the passage of time. They may have trouble understanding
something if it is not happening immediately. Sometimes they may forget where they are or
how they got there.
WARNING SIGN #5: TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING VISUAL IMAGES AND SPATIAL
RELATIONSHIPS. For some people, having vision problems is a sign of Alzheimer's. They
may have difficulty reading, judging distance and determining color or contrast, which may
cause problems with driving.
WARNING SIGN #6: NEW PROBLEMS WITH WORDS IN SPEAKING OR WRITING. People
with Alzheimer's may have trouble following or joining a conversation. They may stop in the
middle of a conversation and have no idea how to continue or they may repeat themselves.
They may struggle with vocabulary, have problems finding the right word or call things by the
wrong name (e.g. calling a "watch" a "hand-clock").
