FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2020 57 Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time. Join us for an afternoon of friendship and fun while playing a game of Hand and Foot Canasta. We meet Thursdays in the RCN Main Room from 12:45 to 4 pm. Table assignments are distributed at 12:45 pm. Each week you may play with someone different, giving you an opportunity to meet new friends and/or visit with old friends. We supply the cards, so just bring yourself and a desire to have fun. If you don't know how to play, we are always happy to set up a teaching table — by the end of the afternoon you will have mastered the game. Come join us. ~ Pam Morales Three Thirteen 20,000 Canasta Three Thirteen is usually played in The Lodge Game Room on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 3 pm. Play is currently prohibited and we won't resume until the guidelines change. We will notify you by email and/or the Daily Report when it is safe to reconvene. If you have any questions about the game, contact Mike Corbett at micedcor1@gmail.com. ~ Mike Corbett We hope those of you who joined us to play 20,000 Canasta last month enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed that you came. Please join us again this month and bring a friend. We play the first and third Fridays of each month from 1 to 4 pm. If you never played 20,000 Canasta we can set up a teaching table. Hope to see you there. ~ Leona Davisson, (951) 489-7745 Bunco We play every second and fourth Friday at 1 pm in the RCN Main Room. Bunco is very easy to play and it's a great way to meet new friends. Looks like we will be fighting it for a while. Sorry to say that it is still not a safe environment for playing dominoes. But l do know of a safe way that you can play at home, perhaps some of you are doing it already. You can play dominoes with your wife or significant other. If they do not know how to play, you have plenty of time on your hands to teach them. But do not blame me if they beat you playing the game. Everyone be safe, practice social distancing, wear your masks, and God bless everyone. For more information, call Jesse at (951) 769-2035 or Reggie at (951) 743-3584. ~ Marvin Gaines If you're looking for a fun, safe group to join, you've found it! We are a group of residents who gather to play The Quiet Game. What is The Quiet Game? Remember when you were a kid and your family took a trip in the car? You and your siblings would inevitably start to pester each other, which led to bickering, which led to yelling (and probably a little bit of punching or pinching) before your father yelled, "OKAY EVERYONE! THAT'S IT! WE'RE PLAYING THE QUIET GAME!" All the kids fell silent knowing that the first one who spoke would lose. What fun that was! So, if you want to take this stroll down memory lane with us, join us in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room Mondays from 8 am to noon. We will spend that time sitting in chairs spaced six feet apart, wearing masks, and playing The Quiet Game. ~ Mutey McMutealot Bridge For Fun We certainly have seen some challenging times for all of us during this pandemic. As of the writing of this article The Lodge has re-opened for some activities but unfortunately not for Bridge or any card games. Hopefully by the time you read this we are once again able to play Bridge. We all sure do miss seeing our friends and enjoying their company as we play. So once restrictions are lifted and you are thinking about new activities, consider learning to play Bridge. We play each Wednesday at noon in the card room. For more information contact Verina Rector at (951) 769-1687. ~ Tom Halley
