FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2020 53 Okay, it's getting scary now. It's been months since we have seen each other (let alone played pool together). What if we forget each other's names? Would you be offended if we forgot yours? And, besides that, we are going to have plaque issues. (No, not teeth plaque!) The plaque we hung in the Billiards Room to display our in-house quarterly tournament winners is going to have some empty slots now. We missed May's tournament already and will probably miss August's as well. Sigh! Everything is so complicated! Enough already! We have never had our wings clipped quite so thoroughly as we have during this pandemic. It's putting a cramp in our excellent style! Right? If our members have not reserved a time to play at The Lodge yet, please pull up the Four Seasons website and click on the amenities (specifically the billiards room) so you can remember what the Billiards Room looks like, and reminisce when we used to go in there three, four, five times a week to practice. I've attached bygone pics to help with your recall, and hopefully have been placed adjacent to this article. (If you complain they're repeats, I'll deny, deny, deny…) Here's hoping we can once again meet as friends/neighbors to play pool, and hopefully our "shooting" skills haven't gotten too rusty/ dusty. We miss you all! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine, egcellent@msn. com Billiards for Fun Wild Bunch Billiards We are back "live" in the Billiards Room. We hope everyone is able to get your desired reservation time and table. There may be some inconvenience in having to make reservations but, hopefully, being able to play pool again outweighs the minor inconvenience. Thank you for adhering to the guidelines and making the Billiards Room a safe and healthy environment. The "Wild Bunch" consists of some of the best players in the league: Joe Spinella, Lucas Don, Robert Howard, Bob Rector, Mike Corbett, Carlos Rivera, LeRoy Wright, Rocket Spinosa, and Gracy Luna. Once this beast has died and the crisis is over, if you want to play serious, competitive pool, we invite you to come by the Billiards Room and join in the stimulation of competitive play. We will keep you updated on when we can safely go into the Billiards Room, which we are hoping will be sooner than later! In conclusion, Practice does NOT make Perfect Practice makes Permanent Perfect Practice makes Perfection Permanent. ~ Gracy Luna, gracyluna@aol.com Jane Slamer cues her shot Pat Semler is shooting the wrong ball! Mike Corbett attacks the table Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time.
