Aug. 6: Eager to make friends,
new-kid-in-town Scotty (Tom
Guiry) heads for the neighborhood
sandlot, hoping to join a pickup
baseball game. He's not any good,
but the others grow to accept
him as they teach him about the
sport. His joy turns to horror,
though, when he launches a ball
signed by Babe Ruth into the
junkyard of a crotchety neighbor
with a menacing dog. Frightened,
the boys test their mettle when
they scheme to retrieve the ball.
Comedy.
Aug. 20: When Cindy and Jim
Green are told they can't have a
baby, they bury a box filled with
wishes for their dream child.
That night, a mysterious young
boy appears who brings magic
to their lives - and to the entire
town of Stanleyville. Comedy.
Aug. 27: Four teenagers in
detention discover an old video
game console with a game
they've never heard of. When
they decide to play, they are
immediately sucked into the
jungle world of Jumanji in the
bodies of avatars (Dwayne
Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart
and Karen Gillan). They'll have
to complete the adventure of
their lives filled with fun, thrills
and danger — or be stuck in the
game forever. Comedy.
Aug. 13: Based on the best-
selling novel by Garth Stein,
The Art of Racing in the Rain is
a heartwarming tale narrated
by a witty and philosophical
dog named Enzo. Through
his unique insight into the
human condition, Enzo helps
his owners - race car driver
Denny Swift, his wife Eve, and
daughter Zoe - navigate life
with a refreshing perspective
on friendship, family and
unconditional love. Drama.
