| OHCC LIVING | AUGUST 2020 | 9 By Scott Lemieux, CPS Director July began with an inspiring display of patriotism with the Fourth of July golf cart parade, brilliantly coordinated by Ms. Chris Bessey and her staff. Community Patrol was honored to provide assistance in ensuring a safe and enjoyable procession through the community. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Officer Daniel Duffield for spearheading CPS's efforts in organizing the procession and our CPS teams for maximum effect. Officer Duffield is also OHCC's resident Alarm Technician and we're very fortunate to have him on staff. His technical knowledge and penchant for consistently delivering the highest quality of service is both inspiring and immensely appreciated by his fellow officers, the HOA management, and OHCC residents. Officer Duffield has enhanced many of the processes CPS has implemented since my time at OHCC. He has successfully synced the Pulse Point emergency notification system with our internal EMS system, providing a clear distinction between 911 response here in the community from resident-initiated calls for assistance. Officer Duffield continues to demonstrate his value to the CPS Team and the OHCC community on a daily basis. It is reflected in his professionalism and conduct whether he's assisting a resident on a phone call, processing a guest at the Front Gate, explaining the EMS system to a resident during an in-home EMS visit or responding to a medical emergency in the community. Officer Duffield is a model CPS officer and it's a privilege to work with him each and every day. A note regarding safety, please continue to hydrate throughout the day regardless of your level of physical activity. Heat-related illness is very serious and can be fatal. Signs and symptoms of heat- related illness include high body temperature, fast pulse, headache, dizziness, nausea and loss of consciousness. If you feel you are exhibiting any of these symptoms and you need assistance dial 911 and the Front Gate for assistance. Community Patrol Services
