As of this writing, I am not sure where we will be with the COVID-19 status, but hopefully we are moving in the right direction. I want to give you some updates on activities and projects the Board and a special Committee are working toward. First, the Restaurant Task Force: this Committee consists of two Board members, the Chair or a representative of the following Committees – Financial Advisory, Delegate Assembly, Marketing, Restaurant & Lounge, and the Recreation Committee. Their goal is to look into all facets of the Restaurant and Lounge operations to determine what worked and what did not and based on that research find obtainable outcomes to lower the amount of subsidy, increase patronage, service, and satisfaction. They appreciate the feedback from the residents that has been received so far. You have already received one survey from your Delegate which will give this Committee initial information and the possibility of more surveys to come. Keeping the needs of the residents in mind during this interim, the Board and Committee have looked into multiple options such as bringing in Food Trucks and Home Delivery. Please check our website, Channel 97, or with your Delegate for information on how to utilize these services. Second, Spectrum has agreed to all of our requests and this was verified with our legal. The Board will now vote on this issue after this writing, so please check Website and Channel 97 for updates. Third, the 2021 Budget Process is in progress. This is never an easy task but now it is even more crucial due to unknowns created by the pandemic. Please participate and let the Board know of your thoughts and recommendations. Unfortunately, at this time, you will have to participate through Zoom. Please check website, Channel 97 for directions. The date that you may attend in September is on the 14th at 2 pm.
