This is the perspective of the artist of the month Sandy Buelna:
I've been taking the Mixed Media Art Class; on and off, for eight
years. I started working with pencil and am currently using both
watercolor pencils and colored pencils. I'm really enjoying the use
of color in my pictures. One of my more difficult tasks is keeping
an eye out for photo images that are fun and interesting. This
latest drawing of mine has a bit of whimsy and I really had fun
working on it with watercolor pencils. I'm finding, with everything
that's going on in this world, my art is bringing me some peace and
contentment. It helps that Rob is always encouraging us having
suggestions and helpful ideas. Even during this time of not having
in-person classes we are encouraged to text our work in-progress to
Rob and he responds to us with thoughts on improvement.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in class again. I hope to meet
you someday soon, hopefully when you join this class. You will truly
enjoy yourself.
Mixed Media Arts
Classes are normally Mondays 10 am to 12
noon and/or Wednesdays 6 to 8 pm. There
is a nominal $5 fee per person, per session.
Masks are required and social distancing is
