Women's Evening Bible Study "The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard but must be felt with the heart." ~ Helen Keller, deaf and blind at 19 months. A year ago we reserved a room in the RCN building to celebrate our second anniversary. In September of 2018 our Bible Study began as a benefit for women in Four Seasons who worked outside the home, were providing care for their loved ones, or were unable to attend Bible Study during the day time. It has been an incredible journey. Each lovely, faithful woman in Bible study is a special blessing. The celebration of our anniversary is an opportunity to relax, share a meal and enjoy getting to know each other better. It is a huge disappointment that we are not able to gather together at this time. I miss being with our ladies and growing with them through our studies in the Word of God. Each lady is unique and offers different perspectives that have been learned through personal life experiences. During these two years we have prayed for one another's needs. We know that God hears and answers our prayers. We believe and have faith that during this "topsy, turvy" time God has a perfect plan. Our part is to be patient and thankful for all that He has provided for us. We continue with the Bible studies on video. I send out the lesson questions by email and the video by cell phone numbers. The video is recorded on my cell phone and it can't be sent through email. If you are interested in learning more about our Women's Evening Bible Study just email me and I will give you all the information. You don't have to wait until we are able to meet in The Lodge. I will send you the video and you can begin today. We are almost at the end of our study in the Parables of Jesus. It has been an exciting time in the Word with many practical teachings for our present time. The time will come when we will meet again in person. Our gathering is the first and third Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in The Lodge Game Room. Every women in Four Seasons is welcomed to join us. Hope you will! We will be contacting you by email or telephone regarding the schedule of resuming the Bible Study in the coming weeks. If State and County public health orders allow, we are planning to have our Fall Potluck on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 6 pm at The Summit. We will then resume the study of various Psalms led by Jim Seim on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 7 pm in the third sector of our Ballroom. We look forward to the time we can see meet in person again. Isaiah is an amazing book, and, interestingly, contains many of the beautiful verses we were asked to memorize last year. The biggest challenge in this study is determining whether Isaiah is talking about the first or the second coming of Jesus Christ. Hopefully, those attending the lessons each week are left with a better understanding of Isaiah's prophecies in that regard. Since there are 66 chapters in the Book of Isaiah, we will not finish this lovely but complex book until Dec. 11, and what a joy it will be! We are so blessed to be able to hear God speak each time we open the Bible. If any of you beautiful women out there are interested in studying with us, we meet by teleconference every Friday from 10:30 to 11:45 am, and would be so happy if you joined us. Please give me a call and I will pass on the dial-in information. Once we meet together again, it will be such a privilege, one which we will no longer take for granted.
