16 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2020 The Neighborhood Watch general meeting for September will be Sept. 9, at 11 am on Zoom. The guest speaker will be Angie Brady, RN, BSN, who is the Emergency Room Director of the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital. She will be discussing the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on the Beaumont community, how the hospital has responded to the patients treated, and other information on its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please note that this will be a Zoom meeting beginning at 11 am, and not the usual start time of 10 am. As we get closer to the date of the presentation, we will publish the Zoom invite details. We are very fortunate to have the Emergency Room Director updating us on this vital information. See you on Zoom. Be safe while walking in our community. Many of our residents have been walking in the roadway when the sidewalk is open and available. Please walk on the sidewalk. If you are approaching someone — either passing them or the other resident is approaching you — and you walk into the roadway to maintain social distancing, please return to the sidewalk as soon as it's safe to do so and continue walking. Recently I saw four people walking together with two on the sidewalk and two in the roadway. Because they were walking next to each other and maintaining social distancing, the two walking in the street were out as far as eight feet from the curb. This is dangerous for the walkers, and also endangers the motorist who has to drive on the opposite side of the roadway to avoid the pedestrians. Please walk on the sidewalk. Recently a pickleball player's wife came down with COVID-19 and eventually was hospitalized. The pickleball captain took immediate action and notified management and the pickleball group stopped playing immediately. The pickleball player whose wife was COVID-19 positive also tested positive. The quick action of the pickleball captain notifying all parties may have prevented a further outbreak. Over 30 pickleball group members were tested and thankfully tested negative. Pickleball, paddle tennis, and tennis were shut down to allow the testing results to come in and sanitizing of the courts as necessary. Please slow down while driving through our community. The speed limit on Four Seasons Circle is 30 mph and 25 mph on side streets. Remember, if you see something, say something. Call the police and do not engage any suspicious individual, and let management know of the incident. ~ Jerry Monahan, (951) 212-8898 Neighborhood Watch
