18 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2020 One of the most challenging requirements of serving on the ARC committee is keeping up with city, state and federal laws and regulations. All of our members are volunteer homeowners – your neighbors. As part of processing Property Improvement Applications, the ARC requires homeowners to comply with Beaumont City Ordinance 286, which among other things, requires at least two non-fruit shade trees in all front yards completed or redone after the ordinance was enacted in 2016. Recently, Beaumont's Planning Department advised ARC that the city requires a permit to remove, replace, or move any front yard tree including diseased and or dead trees. The application is a free application and is used by the City Planning Department to process requests to replace, remove, or move any front yard tree. In addition to completing the application, the city requires a copy of the HOA's approval. In Four Seasons Beaumont that approval is obtained by completing the Property Improvement Application also known as Exhibit A. This application, forms, and information may be found on our website www.fourseasonsbeaumont.org or at The Lodge front desk. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions concerning this process or need any information about ARC or its activities. ~ Steve Cooley, (801) 815-5302, cooleyaudit@gmail.com Architectural Review Committee Canine Corral Council The Canine Corral will have begun its fundraising activities by the time this article is published. Hooray! Applications for membership are also available at The Lodge or at the Management Office. The Council will be processing applications; however, no worries, membership will not be activated until the Corral is up and running. Membership applications allow for processing of one or two dogs. If you have more than two dogs, you will need a separate application. The application must be accompanied with a non-refundable $100 donation per member dog. Renewal memberships will be $30 per dog. Remember, each household may only have 2 dogs in the Corral at any one time. To ensure a safe, high-quality off-leash area experience, only dogs who meet all Corral requirements will be approved for membership. To alleviate any concerns that neighbors may have, each approved member will be required to attend an orientation seminar which has been designed to promote a positive and successful experience for all. So, how do you become a Canine Corral supporter? You may support the Corral while honoring a pet, or whoever or whatever you choose, by ordering a custom-made honor plaque. A photo of the plaques are at right, and design assistance is available. The plaques are available in three sizes for our three-tier supporter levels. We have the Great Dane Supporter Tier, the Poodle Supporter Tier, and the Chihuahua Supporter Tier. These lovely plaques will be installed on the Corral fencing for a very aesthetically- pleasing design and will be admired by all who walk by for years to come. You can be a Great Dane Tier Supporter by ordering the large size, 4"x 6", which allows six lines of copy plus a simple line-drawing image for a donation of $500. This is the only size which allows space for the line-drawing. The medium size measures 4" x 4" and allows up to six lines for a Poodle Tier Supporter donation of $350. The small measures 4" x 2" with a maximum of three lines for a Chihuahua Tier Supporter donation of $200. These will each be individually and custom created with choices of font available. Checks may be made payable to "Four Seasons HOA." Donations and gifts are not tax deductible. We will also be offering a special "Best in Show Supporter" opportunity which will allow you to sponsor a bench that will be placed inside the Corral. A special custom supporter plaque will be designed for you that will be mounted on the bench. These benches will be available at a suggested donation of $2,000. In advance, let me say "Thank you!" to all of our Canine Corral supporters out there. You're the best! All are welcome to join us at our meetings on Zoom the first and third Thursday of each month.
