38 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2020
Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time.
As of this writing, we are still unable to meet in person, but we continue to keep up with
our reading list. When we are able to meet again, we will try to catch up on the discussion of
all of our books.
Normally our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am in the
RCN room #3.
The Book Club selection for September is Under the Net by Iris Murdoch. Here is a brief
description of the book from Amazon.com: "Jake Donaghue, garrulous artist, meets Hugo
Bellfounder, silent philosopher. Jake, hack writer and sponger, now penniless flat-hunter,
seeks out an old girlfriend, Anna Quentin, and her glamorous actress sister, Sadie. He resumes
acquaintance with the formidable Hugo, whose 'philosophy' he once presumptuously dared to
interpret. These meetings involve Jake and his eccentric servant-companion, Finn, in a series
of adventures that include the kidnapping of a film-star dog and a political riot on a film set
of ancient Rome. Jake, fascinated, longs to learn Hugo's secret. Perhaps Hugo's secret is Hugo
himself? Admonished, enlightened, Jake hopes at last to become a real writer."
For those of you who like to read ahead, our next book is scheduled to be Z: A Novel of
Zelda Fitzgerald by Therese Anne Fowler. For more information, please contact Micki Rosen

Hello to all of our wonderful Taste d'Vine members! Hope this finds you and your families well.
Since wine and friends make a great blend, invite a small group friends to safely socially distance on your patio and
taste some different wines. Several members are hosting Wine Wednesday when each guest can bring a wine and you can
compare and possibly find a new favorite! Feel free to post any pictures on the Taste d'Vine Wine Club Facebook page.
For info, please contact Gracy Luna (951) 292-3624. ~ Gracy Luna
