| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2020 | 13 Recommendations for COVID practices for seniors • Limit exposure to others. • Wear a mask and ask others to do so in your presence. • Stay six feet away from others when both are wearing masks. • Stay 10 feet away from others when one of you is not wearing a mask. • Do not wear a mask below your nose or below your chin. It is equivalent to no mask. • When you speak, do NOT lower or pull aside your mask unless you are 10 feet from others. • When you eat or drink not in your home, pull aside your mask momentarily to eat or drink. Put it back. Try not to sit with others closer than 6 to-10 feet not members of your household. Every human is a potential asymptomatic carrier of COVID-19. • If your mask is uncomfortable, cause your glasses to fog, prevents you from talking… BUY A NEW MASK or stay home. • When exercising outdoors, stay 10 ft away from others and have a mask ready to put on if approached by other humans. • Do not trust your friends, grandchildren, or children to be virus free. Do not trust yourself to be virus free… wear a mask… keep your distance. Emergency preparedness committee Facilities Committee Conducting HOA business during the pandemic has been a challenge. The committee is continuing the use of "ZOOM" app to conduct our business. Progress is continuing in renovating the Lodge. Painting the interior and resurfacing the front entrance is complete. Remodeling the front fountains is a future project. We are also planning to improve the dance floor in the Ballroom. The committee is replacing the lounge chairs in the lobby. Several members, and their wives, have been looking at chairs that will enhance the lobby, be durable, and easy to maintain. Our selection will be sent to the Board of Directors for a final decision. All assets owned by the HOA are assigned a value and their lifespan approximated. The money is then set aside by the Board of Directors and Finance Committee, so when replacement becomes necessary the funds are available. This system is one reason there has never been an increase in our monthly dues. As always, your input is desired. Your suggestions and observations are always welcome. Our Mission: The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program is designed to increase individual and community preparedness and self-reliance in the event of man- made or natural disasters. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has officially recognized CERT as an important part of a community's disaster preparedness readiness. The EPC and Four Seasons CERT Street Captains held an online Street Captains Meeting to train CERT members in how to protect themselves and potential victims in an Emergency across our community. Your EPC is working with Riverside County and the city of Hemet to facilitate further CERT training for those who are interested. The EPC and CERT members would like to thank the Board of Directors for investing in PPE for CERT to use when disaster strikes. Four Seasons CERT continues to need your participation. We meet on the third Monday at 9:30 am. Become a Street Captain or CERT Auxiliary. Step up. Be a part of the best CERT in the valley, come make a difference. For more information visit https://fscert.org/cert-volunteer You can help yourself. If you don't have a mask, Riverside County has donated 2,000 masks to Four Seasons… pick one up from the Lodge attendant. To learn how to get ready, go to https://fscert.org. Plan. Prepare. Survive.
