It's hard to believe that this year is more than half over. It's
definitely a year that we won't forget. Many of us are missing all the
usual activities and events that we are so fortunate to have available
to us in our beautiful community, but I am thankful that the Needle
Me group is still hanging in there.
I know that the hot weather is not necessarily conducive to
crocheting or knitting large projects such as Afghans and heavy
sweaters, but there are so many other items we can work on. Dish
cloths, towels and potholders are just a few of the kitchen items
that are easy to whip up. Scarves and hats make nice gifts for the
upcoming colder weather. There are also many patterns for sweaters
and costumes for your pets. I just recently crocheted a little dragon
costume for a tortoise… believe it or not! I don't think the tortoise
was very happy with it, but it was a fun project for me (thank you,
Tracie).
So if you enjoy knitting, crocheting, or any other type of
needlework and would like to socialize with some of your neighbors
who enjoy the same, please come join us in the Craft Room on the
first and fourth Fridays of the month from 1 to 3 pm. If you have any
