Golf Club 26 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2020 | I am sad to report with all that is going on with the COVID-19 virus not under control and having to social distance, it is impossible to start our Shuffleboard season the first part of September. After conferring with the committee, it was decided to cancel Shuffleboard this season. I know we were all looking forward to playing but we must keep safe and well. Remember there is a small group that plays on Monday and Friday at 9 am for fun and practice. This group is 10 or less players per guidelines. If you are new to the game this is a great way to learn or if you are a seasoned player this is a way to practice. Any resident can check out the Shuffleboard equipment. If you are interested, go to the front desk and they will explain the checkout procedure. If you have any question regarding Shuffleboard, you can email me at toniharris63@verizon. net or call me at (951) 325-8357. Happy Labor Day! Can you believe it is September already? Shuffleboard Well here we are in the middle of summer. I hope everyone is doing well. Dave Scott has spent his time working on two of the courts and he said they are not perfect, but are a lot better than they were. They are open to play. Remember if you play, try to maintain "social distancing" and wear a face covering. Enjoy the game and be safe. Remember that any resident of Four Seasons may sign out the Bocce equipment and play at any time. The Lodge attendant will be happy to assist you. They will take you to the spa building where the older equipment is stored and give it to you for your use. You would then return the bag to the door of the storage room and let the Lodge attendant know that you are finished. They will put it back at their leisure. For info contact Dennis Harris at (951) 325-8357 or email dharris327@verizon.net. Bocce Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, & time. From the President--Gary Sopata: Thank you club members for your cooperation in social distancing in and around the Clubhouse before our weekly events. Everybody feels safer in this environment when the membership is in tune with wearing masks and keeping the proper distance. American Flag Bonus Gift Day - Tues., Sept. 1. All members who sign up to play will receive an American flag as a bonus gift from the Club. Plan on utilizing the flag for Labor Day on Mon., Sept. 7 and throughout the year. Birthday Lunch - Tues., Sept. 29. All Club members who had a birthday from March to June will be eligible for a birthday lunch provided they sign up to play on Tues., Sept. 29. From Greens Liaison – Bill Barnes: The golf course continues to follow all State of California mandates with regard to the coronavirus. While the inside dining area is closed, the course continues to offer a full food menu and the bar is open for takeout. Ray has asked that when using the outside seating area, please do not move the tables or chairs closer together and to maintain social distancing, along with wearing a face covering when not eating or drinking. These rules are to be maintained at all times around the Clubhouse and practice putting green.
