We are seeking volunteers to serve on our committees:
Public Safety Training and Development Membership
Social Neighbor - Helping - Neighbor: Our Neighbor-Helping-Neighbor
program is a grassroots effort to bring neighbors, neighborhoods, villages,
and, ultimately, our entire community together in daily life and, especially,
emergency situations.
It is the responsibility of all of us to be prepared, and imperative that we are
able to help ourselves and, if possible, others.

SERT CLUB:
Safety & Emergency Reponse Team Neighbor Helping Neighbor
6 | OHCC LIVING | SEPTEMBER 2020 |
The purpose of the OHCC SERT Club is to, "Promote the
safety of the OHCC community by providing an opportunity
whereby residents can enhance their knowledge, skill, and
ability to prepare for and respond to local incidents and
natural disasters that may adversely affect their standard
of living."
The OHCC SERT Club is a service-driven club. Our
focus is incident and emergency preparedness. We are
here to help you prepare in the event of a community-
wide emergency. We are here to train OHCC residents to
help themselves and train SERT Club members in incident
response. The Club Board can activate our Incident
Response Team and First Aid members, whom have all
been trained through FEMA and the American Red Cross.
The OHCC SERT Club has been meeting through ZOOM
and is continually looking for ways to improve the safety of
our community. Whether you will bring unique skills that
will enhance our crisis preparedness, or you are someone
wanting to learn to take care of yourself and, perhaps others,
in a major incident, we would welcome your participation.
There is always room for you to be involved in helping
our community.
