SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | AUGUST 2020 13
As told to Theresa Rossetti, Resident
Let me explain. I tried my darnedest
to understand Timmy when I interviewed
him. Sadly, due to social distancing rules,
I couldn't catch everything he tried to
tell me. You have to understand, in my
defense, I'm 5'7" and Timmy is, well,
really short. The mask, glasses fogging,
and my knees made it hard to get to his
level! I forged on and got some info from
Timmy's Mom, Kathy McNall, so we could
put together this piece.
Timmy is one of our original SDV
doggos, having arrived to live here about
nine and a half years ago. It's hard for dogs
to translate into human years, so he's a
little vague on that. He sort of remembers
living somewhere else before Mom found
him. He didn't like it much.
Kathy tells me that she and hubby
Bill had recently lost their last dog, Dino,
when she saw Timmy at PetSmart. Even
though they didn't feel they were ready for
another dog, there was something about
this tiny chihuahua mix that grabbed
Kathy's heart. Bill took a bit to warm up
to Timmy, and vice versa as Timmy is
not particularly fond of the males of our
species, but they are buds now.
As anyone who has met Timmy knows,
his bark is way worse than his bite, and
boy, can he bark! He told me he is the
alpha here at SDV, and he just wants
everyone to know it. He lets all the big
dogs know this, as well as any golf carts
or bicycles that come along. He wants to
make sure that nobody messes with his
Mom, whom he follows and protects from
everything and everyone.
He did manage to tell me that he has a
few good friends here, so he asked for a
shout out to Foxy, Mia, Boots and Murphy.
Timmy recently celebrated his 12th
birthday, as you can see from his photo.
Happy Birthday, Timmy, and many more!
