60 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | OCTOBER 2020 | JOANNE BURNHAM peacefully passed July 22, 2020 at her home in Banning. Born in Weirton, WVA, December 8, 1937, she moved with her family as a child and ended up in Ripley, NY. This is where she attended high school and found her future husband. After graduation, she married Jack Burnham and moved to Cape Cod while he finished his tour with the Air Force. After his discharge in 1959, they moved to Southern California with their infant son. She worked at secretarial jobs and then as a travel consultant. Jack retired in 1992 and they moved to Sun Lakes in Banning in 1996. She loved to cruise and sailed on 45 cruises. She worked behind the scenes for many years in the Sun Lakes Drama Club and was a member of the Psi Delta Sigma sorority. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jack, their son Michael and daughter-in-law Kathy, and her sister Betty O'Brien. Lenora Huber Colice passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 8, 2020. Lenora was born on November 5, 1934 in Rome, New York. She was the second child to John and Mildred Huber. She had an older sister, Marie Risucci, Sacramento, California (deceased) and two younger brothers John Huber, Upland California and Paul Huber, San Bernardino, California (deceased). After high school, Lenora moved to New York City and attended the Bellevue School of Nursing. She graduated from Bellevue as an RN in 1955. Lenora met the love of her life Paul Colice, New York, New York (deceased) in 1958. They were Married on July 25, 1959 in Rome, New York. Lenora and Paul were married for 26 years until his passing in 1985. In 1960, Lenora and Paul joined her parents and her sibling, made their way in a cross country trek to Southern California. The entire family settled in San Bernardino, Lenora and Paul later settled in Orange County California in the city of Stanton where they raised their six children: Michael Colice, Vincent Colice (deceased), Kathy Blake, Joseph Colice, Paul Colice Jr., and Robert Colice. Lenora was a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her five remaining children and 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. After working over 40 years as an RN and Hospital Administrator, Lenora retired and moved to Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning California. She spent her retirement years traveling the world. She LOVED to cruise. She never passed one up. She belonged to several philanthropic organizations and was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi as well as the Red Hat Society. Lenora will be remembered by her kids and grandkids for the silly songs she would sing and her unconditional love. The rest of the world will remember her best for her welcoming and generous heart. As soon as you walked into her home she made sure you felt welcome. LENORA HUBER COLICE - you made the world a better place. Charles Kenneth Mills Jr. (Ken) left this earth on July 31, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, sons, Chuck (Mary), Steven (Margo), daughters Laurie Mills, Mary Lou Childress (Richard), step-son Kenneth Pixley (Cindy) step- daughter Janeen Permann (Steven), eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Ken loved golf, billiards and bowling, and fishing. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his dedication to this community. He will be sorely missed. Friends we will miss
