28 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | OCTOBER 2020 | Like all of the groups and clubs in Sun Lakes, the Stardust Dancers are on hiatus until it is safe to have classes again. However, I wanted to share a couple of remembrances from better times. If you have been with the group since the beginning, you can remember: 1. Practicing in the parking lots of the Main Clubhouse. 2. Performing the whole parade route on foot for the Fourth of July Parade. With pom-poms. 3. Doing a performance on Country Club, when a woman drove her car into the middle of us. This group has been together for a long time, and have had some members advance to the group of dancers who dance in heaven. We will always miss Bev Boatman, Rose De Maria, Diane Hofler, Pat Jeter, and Lori Perry. They are in our hearts. When and if things ever get back to normal, we will welcome new members, both female, and male. All you have to do is enjoy to perform, and learn. We always have a good time. Stardust Dancers Just in case: Check with your club contact to confirm meeting place, date, and time. Pandemic. Take the word PAN and add DEMIC and there you have it. That's how creative the Creative Writers Group of Sun Lakes used to be before the, what I just said thing. If we don't get together soon, we may have to go back to school to remember how to construct sentences. We suggest you get a pencil and try to keep your skills up while we wait for the "all clear" sign. The writers group consists of folks who love to write. Some are experienced while others use the group to help them with their own projects. The group has its poets, non-fiction writers, humorists, and fiction writers, all are seriously interested in the craft of writing. During normal times we meet in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room at 3 pm on the first Monday of each month plus 3 pm on the third Wednesday. The virus has shaken our schedule up a bit, actually a lot. If you would like to be informed of when our meetings will finally escape the quarantine and begin again, send us your email address to rlswriter@verizon.net — or do it the old fashioned way and call Roger Smith at (951) 769-2808.
